Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is an antioxidant that the body produces naturally. The cells use CoQ10 for growth and maintenance. Levels of CoQ10 in your body decrease as you age. CoQ10 levels have also been found to be lower in people with certain conditions, such as heart disease, and in those who take cholesterol-lowering drugs called statins. CoQ10 is found in meat, fish and nuts. The amount of CoQ10 found in these dietary sources, however, isn't enough to significantly increase CoQ10 levels in your body.

Many clinical studies have been performed on coenzyme Q10. Administration at a high daily dose of 1200mg may slow the progression of the disease.

The dosage regimen of CoQ10 is determined according to medical instructions and depending on the cause of administration, the weight and age of the patient.
CoQ10 might make blood-thinning drugs, such as warfarin, less effective. This could increase the risk of a blood clot.. Doctor's advice is recommended for patients with diabetes or hypertension. It should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product.
